Well guys, I've finally been around, and shown my potential in doing so. I won a competition! Hooray!
But i've come to find, very quickly saying that, that it's more of a curse than a blessing to hold the Head of Household position in this very divided house.
I've had people from both sides of this house -and let's face the facts, there's two distinct sides made up of a small number of people who don't get along- come to me vying to put their two cents in or as our lovely hosts ask us every week, trying to influence my nominations , and it certainly makes things difficult.
So, i'm not making my decisions based on sides. I'm making my decisions based on myself.
So, this all said, I will begin pulling the keys....
Brigitte, you are safe.
Nikki, you are safe.
Natalie, you are safe.
Rachel, you are safe.
Sophie, you are safe.
Ragan, you are safe.
Jen, you are safe.
Charley, you are safe.
As you can see, I have chosen to nominate the extravagant Sam Pepper and the blonde bombshell in male form, John James, for eviction.
Sam, I nominated you for a few reasons. Mostly due to the fact that most of these stories or things you tell me are so random are so far-fetched that I find them hard to believe. And if you tell me the truth when you say these things, I do apologize. But you have to understand that they're almost too good to be true. In Week 1, you told me to get Kris to choose you for Veto so that you could win it, save him, and keep me and him safe. (Meanwhile, you kept making it seem as if me and Kris were a package deal when I barely talked to Kris at all). I come to find, in Week 2, you tried to get me nominated next to Kris. Perhaps because we were a "package deal"? I don't know. But that didn't even bother me. This past week, you told me you were not even really playing to win, but for the TV time and that you would voluntarily drop out of the game when it comes down to your alliance. Once again, I am sorry if this all does turn to be true, but you have to understand it is a little too hard to believe, especially given how hard you've been playing. You did ask me to tell you if I was nominating you in advance, and I did, so I hope you can respect this.
John James, this probably comes as a shock to you. In fact, it also comes as a shock to me. I wasn't expecting to do this originally coming into this week. Here's the deal, these past couple of weeks, you've come across a bit condescending to me in the way you were talking to me. Just as I said with Sam, if you didn't mean to seem that way, I apologize, but it was taken the wrong way, and if it was said in person, would definitely have been a little shady seeming.
To begin, you asked me last week who I would evict between the original nominees, and then I asked your opinion and you told me "I know who I want you to vote, but just wait until we see who wins Veto first, then I'll tell you. " This came across very rude and almost made it seem like a parent telling a child to wait to find out what dinner was or something. Like, I wasn't in control of anything, but I would find out my fate eventually.
Then, after seeing that I won HoH, you told me this "I would really love it if you nominated _______ this week. The other nominee (as long as it isn't me) is up to you."
This almost made it seem like I had to nominate who you suggested, but that "well, you can choose the second person. That choice is up to you."
I consider you a friend in this game, and after this I could see if you don't want to be, and maybe i'm all wrong, but you have to understand, that the way you were talking to me just didn't seem right.
This isn't your HoH, it's mine.
Sorry for the long speech everyone, but I want my reasons fully explained and without question.
The Nomination Ceremony is now adjourned.
